how to make a starburst with illustrator

1) Make cross-hairs using guides. Create an elongated triangle.
Set the tip directly on the point where the axises meet.

2) Get the rotate tool.
Click on the point and hold down the option key.
Type in 20 in the angle field, then click copy.

3) Click "apple" and D and continue tapping until the last rectangle meets the first.

4) Now, I put a field of color behind the burst and made a mask out of two boxes and the pathfinder (exclude).

5) I'm done and now I can go watch Cheaters!
